Where is the Bible

Bang…Bang…Bang! Someone was pounding at the door. “Open the door, in the name of the king!” Silvia was afraid. The soldiers… So they were right! Did they have to go to the door? “But, Mother, the Bible…” Silvia pointed to the Bible. “Yes child, I know,” said Mother. “Go to the door.” The soldiers came inside boldly. They looked everywhere. But where was the Bible…?

The Wonder of Christmas

Leah and Melissa are traveling through the night to reach their grandparents’ house in time for Christmas. Brent is nervous because he has to play an organ piece at a Christmas concert. Mark and Meghan have a secret. The children in this book have many things that happen to them. They all happen around Christmas time. Christmas is a busy time, and everywhere you look, the world seems to be celebrating. It is easy to forget the true meaning of Christmas. It isn’t at all a celebration of pretty lights and colorful gifts, nor is it “just” a Bible story. What is a true Christmas? What is the wonder of Christmas? Have you ever thought about it? It is so easy to get carried along with the cheer and fun all around. It is my hope that this book of stories will help you to think about some of these very important things.

Jake and Jimmy and the Secret Wishes

Jake and Jimmy have a secret. Jake wants a rowboat. Jimmy wants a violin. But where will they get them? Mommy and Daddy don’t have enough money for a boat or a violin. And so, Jake and Jimmy go on a search of their own. They need oars and wood. Surely Grandpa could make a boat and a violin for them! While they are hunting for the things they need, the two little brothers have a lot of adventures. They rescue a little dog, help the police catch a thief, and almost cut down Mr. Tony’s new tree. Every time they find something for their violin or boat, they lose it again. Will Jimmy ever play the violin? And will Jake ever go fishing in his own little boat?
