Indians and Settlers
The eighth volume in this series deals with the history of the church in America in the 17th and 18th centuries. It tells how the Lord used well-known ministers such as Solomon Stoddard, Jonathan Edwards, and George Whitefield to introduce God’s Word to the American Indians. Also included are stories about the missionary work of David Brainerd.

A new school year has begun, and Natalie wonders who the new girl coming to third grade will be. She and the other girls in her class had always been such good friends … Natalie wasn’t so sure a new girl would fit in the group, but she knew she should be friendly. “I cannot understand that there are still no missionaries in China,” nine-year-old Hudson said as he and his sister Amelia were sitting on the couch with their father. “I often pray that I may become a missionary in China when I’m older.” When Hudson turned seventeen, the Lord heard his prayer and personally called him to go to China and proclaim His Name to the Chinese people. Hudson prepared for the journey by learning the Chinese language and studying to be a doctor. He began his journey when he finally had enough money.
This selection of Bible stories, retold in simple language, will introduce toddlers and young children to five stories found in the book of Genesis. The vivid illustrations will appeal to children of all ages. Each Story is followed by simple questions to help children understand and apply biblical truths.
