Your Ways Are Not My Ways, Anna

Seventeen year old Anna Drongers was having a challenging time being a part-time grade twelve student. Worries about her mother and missing so much school, resulting in a ton of homework, was made more difficult when Anna met Tony, a Jehovah’s Witness. Her feelings for him grew quickly although she knew there were great religious differences which she tried to push away. It was at a summer job at her aunt’s and uncle’s far away farm that Anna found out what she had to do.

It was a heart-wrenching, though very clear, decision. Anna had to learn that God’s ways are often not our ways, but they are the very best!

The Brave Tinker

This book follows the varied and eventful life the well-known preacher and author John Bunyan. The story starts with his expulsion from school. Then he took up the life of a tinker, going from house to house fixing broken pots and pans. He later experienced the rough life of a soldier. He was very poor when he got married. He was then turned by God from being the town’s most notorious profane man into one who prayed, and finally a preacher. It was because of his preaching that he was arrested and kept in prison for years. It was there that he wrote his most well-known book: The Pilgrim’s Progress.

The Pilgrims and Puritans

This sixth volume of the series deals mainly with the history of the churches in England, Scotland and America during the seventeenth century. You will read stories about the lives of some well-known ministers, such as John Bunyan and Samuel Rutherford. In these stories the persecution which the church had to endure is portrayed in an engaging manner. The stories are not an enumeration of facts, but you relive the things that happened so long ago.
